This series is composed of a ring, a bracelet, a brooch and a necklace, all with a silver face, a lead backing and nickel components. Each face is a cast of a part of my body that I struggle to be comfortable with because of societal pressure and my own insecurities. The pieces are wearable but extremely uncomfortable or impractable because of the tremendous weight of the lead backing as well as the toxicity of the lead. This series mirrors the mental weight or baggage that I project on to these parts of my body as a means to illustrate the daily struggle of trying to be comfortable in one's own skin.
